At a young age, Owner Whitney Giordano Foster knew she had a love for fashion and her family had no doubt that she would follow that dream. While in her Senior year at Southern Miss, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing, Whitney’s dreams came to life in 2004 when she opened her flagship store, Material Girls, in Flowood, MS.

Material Girls quickly became the #1 leading women's clothing boutique in Mississippi. Material Girls still remains a great success at their Renaissance at Colony Park Shopping Center location in Ridgeland, MS that opened in 2006. In 2013, Whitney and her Husband Bradford Foster, who is a local Insurance Agent with Shelter Insurance in Flowood, MS got married and now have two beautiful children that keep them on their toes daily!

Whitney, always staying true to her heart while adapting to the ever changing styles and trends had another successful dream come true when Highland Park by Material Girls was brought to life in 2018, now located directly across from her Material Girls store at the Renaissance at Colony Park Shopping Center in Ridgeland, MS with a second location that opened in 2020 located in the Market Street Shopping Center in Flowood, MS. Highland Park not only suits Whitney’s current phase of life with balancing work and motherhood but all of her loyal customers who started with her in 2004 that now find themselves in this same stage in life too. Highland Park features a collection of on-the-go chic styles with a modern twist, including beautiful high end clothing lines with extended sizing, shoes, modest swimwear, children's clothing and gorgeous home accessories! Whitney had a vision for the experience customers would have while shopping, and knew the children’s area was a must!
